1,Prepare your original passport valid more than six months with blank visa pages. Please make a special note if the applicant's name or birth date has been changed.

2,Fill out the Visa Application Form completely, legibly and truthfully. Do not leave any item blank. Write none if there is nothing to declare. Any illegibility, incompleteness, or mistake in the filling of the application form may cause delay or denial of the visa. To see the sample of the visa application form, please click here. 

        A. Chinese Name: Applicant born in China (including Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan) must fill in their Chinese names.

        B. Occupation: Accurate occupation is needed. Fill in none for unemployed. 

        C. Purpose of Journey: Fill out truthfully and legibly.

        D. Places to visit: List all the provinces, cities or counties intending to visit.

        E.  Number of Entries or Duration: Make a circle of the item according to the demands of the applicant. Final decision will be made by Consuls.

        F.  Photo: One passport picture is needed. Digitally printed, travel pictures or copies are not accepted.

        G. Signature: The application form must be signed by the applicant himself. Parents can sign for the children who can not write.

H. Requested Days of processing: Make a circle of the item according to the demands of the applicant. For the same day service, you will pay 250 kr as rush fee, and 2-3 days, 170 kr.

3,Please prepare all application materials and have them ready while submitting your application. Applications may be rejected if they do not meet requirements or you have submitted illusive documents. For different types of visas, you need prepare different documents. A. Tourist / family visit (L)visa:

Those who go to China for sightseeing, family visit or other personal affairs can apply for Single entry visas, usually valid for 3 months, or double entry visas, usually valid for 6 months. Based on various situations, Consuls have the authority to require applicants to present documents deemed necessary.

B. Business / Official visit (F) visa:

An official invitation from related Chinese departments or companies with the right to deal with foreign affairs authorized by the State Council of China is required.

C. Employment / work (Z) visa:

You must submit an official invitation issued by a Chinese Government Agency or an authorized company and an Employment License issued by the Chinese Labor and Social Insurance Ministry or a confirmation letter issued by Chinese Foreign Specialist Bureau (for those who go to work in an academic and scientific research project, or to provide technical and economic assistance).

D. Student (X) visa:

You must provide Foreign Student Visa Application Form issued by the State Education Ministry of China, physical examination certificate for foreign citizen with blood test report (HIV and Syphilis test ) and an enrollment letter from the receiving university.

E. Transit (G) visa:

A valid visa of the country of destination, and an airline ticket /travel itinerary showing transit through China is required.

F. Airline crew, pilots and mariner (C) visa:

International airline crew, pilots, and merchant mariners or crew members of unscheduled flight of private aircraft or vessels can apply.

4,Please come to the Consulate (Grönsakstorget 3, Gothenburg) in our working time (Mon-Fri 9:00am-11:30am). To see the location of the Consulate on the map, please click here. Put application forms and other materials into the blank page of each passport, and please submit applications separately according to pickup dates, numbers of entries and categories of visas. Consuls will give the Applicant a pick-up form after the application. Those who submit applications should bear the responsibility for checking the pick-up forms. Any questions should be addressed with consuls immediately. During the application, you don't have to pay. Applicant or someone else entrusted can pickup the visa by submitting the pickup form that consul gave during application. Please keep the pickup form in a safe place.

5,Chinese visas can generally be picked up on the fourth working day from the submitting date. For example, if you submitted on Friday, you may pick up your visa next Wednesday (if not a holiday). If an application is submitted before 10:00 am, you may ask for expedited service. Consuls have the right to decide to provide the espedited service or not. Same day rush service can be picked up about 11:30 am. Applicants should pay extra 250 kr per visa for same day pickup, or 170 kr per visa for the next or third working day pickup service, in addition to regular visa fee.

7,When pick up, applicants can pay visa fee with cash or bank check. We don't have service for credit card. Those who pick up visas have the responsibility to check the visas in detail.
